    KERRVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team shot an opening day score of 299-294 - 593 to finish tied for ninth at the UTSA Comanche Trace Invitational. The Lumberjacks are currently 17 strokes over par as a team.

    Junior Chad Spencer currently leads the 'Jacks after shooting a one-under par 143. Spencer is tied for 11th heading into the final round of action.

    The Lumberjacks will begin the final round of action Tuesday morning from the Comanche Trace Golf Course.
