The Lumberjacks struggled to rounds of 312-305 in the rain shortened 2000 SFA Crown Classic held at Lufkin's Crown Colony Country Club. SFA finished in a tie for thirteenth out of the 16 team field.

Junior Tim Speichert bounced back from an opening round 80 to shoot a final round 70 to finish as the top Lumberjack.
