Austin Lumberjack golf team fired a 300-306 - 606 Monday afternoon and is currently tied for 10th with Louisiana-Monroe at the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate. Austin men's golf team broke a 26-year tournament record to win the 2009 Sam Houston State Invitational at the Elkins Lake Golf Club Tuesday afternoon. The 'Jacks shot a notable seven-under par 561 to outpace the competition by five strokes. The tournament, which was originally schedule for 54 holes, was shortened to 36 due to poor weather conditions in the area.
