Austin is among the top five schools in the Southland Conference on the Spring 2009 SLC Commissioner's Honor Roll, announced earlier this week by league officials. Austin Lumberjack golf team stumbled to a 19-over par 307 in the final round of the 2009 Southland Conference Championships. SFA finished sixth overall, one stroke behind Texas State. Lamar won the team title by shooting a three-round score of 859.MORE[+] ![]() 4/28/09 'Jacks Jump to Fifth with a Six Under in Second RoundThe Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team shot the second-lowest round (six-under par 282) of the day to improve to fifth overall at the 2009 Southland Conference Golf Championships in Kerrville, Texas. SFA was bested only by overall team leader Lamar who carded a 277 in the second round. The 38th-rank Cardinals head into Wednesday's final round with the team lead, while SFA is only five strokes back of Texas-San Antonio, and eight back of Southeastern Louisiana.MORE[+] ![]() |
