After producing the league's best individual score of the opening week of golf, Trevor Sauntry of Stephen F. Austin State University has been named Southland Conference golfer of the week. Following is a look at his performance.

TREVOR SAUNTRY * Stephen F. Austin * Fr. * Missouri City, Texas Sauntry led the Lumberjacks to an eighth-place showing at the Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic by finishing fourth among 80 individuals. He shot a Southland-best 218 for a two-over par finish during the opening week of spring play. Included was a one-under (71) final round on Tuesday to get him within four strokes of the individual medalist, Jason Harris of East Carolina.
