    Pugh Named Southland Golfer of the Month

    FRISCO, Texas - Sophomore Blake Pugh has been named Southland Conference Men's Golfer of the Month announced league officials Wednesday afternoon. Pugh becomes the second Stephen F. Austin golfer (Luke Sheehan) to receive the honor this year.

    Pugh tied for seventh place at the Rice Intercollegiate after firing a one-under par 215 at the tournament. He recorded two par, or better, rounds at the spring season opening event, including a low round of 70 and finished the week with a 71.7 stroke average.

    Pugh follows in the footsteps of Sheehan who closed out the fall portion of the schedule earning league golfer of the month honors in November.
