    'Jacks Fourth After Second Day at SLC Championships

    KINGWOOD, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team dropped a spot after the second day of competition in the Southland Conference Golf Championships Tuesday afternoon in Kingwood, Texas. The `Jacks shot a second-round 302, and are currently fourth overall with a 595 for the tournament.

    Trevor Sauntry leads the Lumberjacks with his two-round score of 69-77 - 146 and is fourth overall. Dustin Byrd has fallen off the pace with his second-round score of 78 to finish the day at 147. But Byrd remains in the top 10, tied for sixth with the final round remaining. Brian Grossman is still tied for 27th after shooting a one-over-par 73 Tuesday afternoon to finish the day with a 153. James McLeod is two strokes back after shooting a two-over 74, to finish Tuesday's round with a 153. McLeod is tied for 31st heading into the final round of play. Jeremy Ice is currently fifth for SFA with his two-round score of 75-83 - 158.

    The Lumberjacks return to action Wednesday morning to close out the Southland Conference Championships.
