    `Jacks Finish Fourth at SLC Championships

    KINGWOOD - Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team finished fourth at the Southland Conference Championships Wednesday afternoon in Kingwood, Texas. SFA recorded a three-round score of 293-302-298 - 893.

    The Lumberjacks were paced by Dustin Byrd who finished seventh overall with a 60-78-73--220. Byrd finished four-over par for the tournament. Trevor Sauntry fell off the pace on the final day shooting an eight-over par 80 to finish tied for 16th overall. Jeremy Ice recorded a four-under par 68 Wednesday to finish tied for 16th Sauntry. James McLeod finished the tournament with a three-day total of 232, after shooting a 77 Wednesday. McLeod finished tied for 30th. Brian Grossman was tied for 38th after recording a three-day total of 234.
