    The SFA golf team has received the largest single endowed scholarship donation ever made on its behalf through the Alumni Association Foundation. The $100,000 gift comes from Doug ('71) and Ann ('70) Higgins, of Arlington.

    "We are elated by the generosity of the Higgins'." said SFA Athletics Director Steve McCarty. "This gift takes us closer to our goal of having all golf scholarships at SFA fully endowed."

    Doug Higgins received his bachelor's degree in 1971 and is involved in private investments. His wife, Ann, is a 1970 graduate and has spent time as an elementary teacher in the Arlington ISD.

    The Higgins gift increases the total golf team endowment managed by the Alumni Association Foundation to almost $350,000.
