Jaye Nayreau is in his second season on the Ladyjack coach staff. He came to Nacogdoches after spending two years at Dodge City Community College in Kansas.

"I am very pleased to have Jaye on our staff," said SFA head coach Lee Ann Riley. "He is an enthusiastic and dedicated coach who brings so much to our program. Jaye's experience is a benefit on the court, recruiting and academically. We are excited to have another classy and committed coach in our program."

During his stint at Dodge City, Nayreau was involved with every aspect of the women's program, from in-game coaching to scouting and game preparation. He also handled schedule preparations and served as student-athlete advisor for the team.

Prior to his stop in Kansas, Nayreau spent one season on the Saint Louis Billiken staff as an graduate assistant coach. During that time, he oversaw all aspects of the Billiken Classic and also served as an academic advisor for the program.

Nayreau is already familiar with the Southland Conference, having begun his coaching career at Sam Houston State. During the 2001-02 season, Nayreau was a student assistant with the Bearkat program. During that time, he assisted with practice and the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball office.

Nayreau received his bachelor's degree from SHSU in December 2002. Two years later Nayreau graduated from Baylor with a master's in sports pedagogy. Nayreau has also completed work toward a doctorate in counseling.
