NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack basketball team defeated Lamar University 68-55. This puts the Ladyjacks at 17-3 overall and undefeated in Southland Conference play 12-0. With this win the Ladyjacks continued both their home game winning streak (24) and their overall winning streak (12).

SFA was led by sophomore guard Nathesia Wright with 29 points. This was a career high for the Arlington native. Wright went 10 for 18 from the field and two for four from the three-point range. From the free-throw line Wright went seven for eight.

The Ladyjacks will be back in action Thursday, February 1, 2001 in Hammond, Louisiana as they face the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions at 7:00 PM. Then on Saturday, February 3, at 5:30 PM the Ladyjacks will face Nicholls State in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
