PLANO, Texas - Senior forward Chaquita Dilworth (Temple, Texas) was named Southland Conference player of the week announced the league office Tuesday, for her efforts in the Ladyjacks' 85-54 victory over McNeese State.

Dilworth recorded her first career double-double Tuesday night when she scored a game and season-high 18 points and tied a career-high with her 12 rebounds. Dilworth was 5-of-9 (.555 percent) from the field and 8-of-16 (.500) from the free-throw line to lead the Ladyjacks to their 11th win of the season. Dilworth is currently second on the team in scoring (10.8 ppg) and rebounding (7.1 rpg). It is the first time this season that Dilworth has received the honor and it is the second time this year that a Ladyjack has earned the honor (Jessica Guild on Jan. 2).

The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday in San Antonio, Texas, as they take on Texas-San Antonio. The game is scheduled to tipoff at 2 p.m., from the Convocation Center.
