Ladyjacks Join "Think Pink" Movement

Feb. 13, 2008

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack basketball team will participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association "Think Pink" week Saturday, when the Ladyjacks host Northwestern State.

Think Pink is an initiative started by the WBCA to aid in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in local communities and beyond. The program began last year when more than 120 schools joined in.

The Ladyjacks will contribute to awareness by sporting pink laces in their shoes and pink pre-wrap with their athletic tape. In addition, SFA will donate half of the proceeds from ticket sales for Saturday's game to the American Cancer Society.

The game against the Demons is set for a 6 p.m. start at SFA's William R. Johnson Coliseum. For more information about Think Pink, visit the WBCA Web site.
