"Brandi is a hard worker and has proven herself," said Riley. "It is so important to keep your good people within the program and I know she will do a good job. I have had the opportunity to coach and now work with Brandi and she has always worked hard to succeed. I believe in surrounding yourself with people who are loyal and believe in what you are doing as a head coach and Brandi has earned this promotion."
Daily spent the 2001-02 season as the restricted coach for the Ladyjacks, assisting the team to a 24-6 overall record, their 13th Southland Conference title and their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance. She also worked with seniors Chaquita Dilworth, Latisha Prater, Jessica Guild and junior Nathesia Wright as they earned All-Southland Conference honors for the 2001-02 season.
Daily played basketball at Arkansas, under former Ladyjack head coach Gary Blair. During her time in Fayetteville, Daily led the Lady Razorbacks to two Women's National Invitational Tournament Final Four appearances and an WNIT title. During the 1998 season, Arkansas advanced to the NCAA Final Four.
Daily and Riley first crossed paths in Tyler, Texas, where Daily was captain for the 1996-97 Tyler Junior College basketball team. Daily earned all-conference and all-region honors in her two seasons at TJC.
