    FOR STARTERS: The Ladyjacks (3-1) travel to California for a pair of games against never played before opponents (Cal Poly/CSUB). The last time SFA played in the state of California was in the 2010-11 season when the Ladyjacks fell to Loyola Maramount, 94-62.

    LAST TIME OUT: The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks basketball team bounced back from a tough loss to Wiley College last Saturday with a 80-28 trouncing of the Northwood Knights Tuesday evening at William R. Johnson Coliseum.

    THE MUSTANGS: Cal Poly is coming off a 87-61 loss to No. 12 California on Wednesday. The Mustangs are led in scoring by Ariana Elegado (12.7 ppg) and Kayla Griffin (11.5 ppg). 

    THE ROADRUNNERS: CSUB suffered a 75-63 loss at home to UC Riverside last Tuesday. Losers of two straight, the Roadrunners are led in scoring by Tyonna Outland (12.5 ppg) and Janae Coffee (11.5 ppg). CSUB is allowing 73.2 points per game to their opponents.

    COVERAGE: Both games will have live stats available on www.gopoly.com while Friday's game against Cal Poly will also be streamed on the same website. Saturday's game against CSUB will only have live stats.

    PRESEASON PICKS: SFA was picked to finish second in the Southland Conference Preseason Coaches Poll and fourth in the Sports Information Directors Poll.

    POSTSEASON PLAY: The Ladyjacks made their 26th appearance in postseason play in 2011-12, falling to Northern Iowa in the first round of the 2012 Women’s Basketball Invitational. 

    UP NEXT: Following their trip to California the Ladyjacks will continue their six-game road trip with a visit to Grambling State on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
