NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack equestrian team will take part in a pair of western shows at Texas A&M in College Station, this weekend. Saturday's action will begin at 9 a.m., and Sunday's show is set to start at 8 a.m. Both shows will be held at Texas A&M's N.W. "Dick" Freeman Arena.

In their last western competition, a pair of shows at Oklahoma State, the Ladyjacks finished tied for fourth on the first day and took third place in the second show. Jamie Melgares finished third in three different events that weekend, and Lindsey Gaston qualified for the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association regional competition.

SFA competed in a pair of hunt seat shows at Texas A&M two weeks ago and finished sixth both days.

Following the completion of this weekend's shows, SFA's next competition will be a home show against South Carolina on March 25.
