    Stefani Maynard is in her first season working with the Ladyjack golf team. Assisting head coach Trey Schroeder, Maynard will work directly with the first-year Ladyjack golf team helping build the program from the ground up.

    "I am very pleased with the addition of Stefanie to our staff," said Schroeder. "She was a highly successful golfer who brings a winning attitude to our program. She will be a valuable asset to this university."

    Maynard makes her way to Nacogdoches after spending the past six years in the business sector. Throughout her career as a player Maynard-Gray has proven herself as a winner on the golf course. A 2008 semi-finalist in the Texas Women's State Amateur consolation bracket, Maynard won the Austin-San Antonio Tour Championship in 2007. She is also a two-time National Championship qualifier in the Golf Channel Amateur Tour, winning the title in 2007. A 2005 State Amateur Championships quarterfinalists, Maynard was a runner-up at the 2005 Central Texas Women's Amateur after shooting a five-under par 139.

    One of the top female golfers in Texas-Pan American history, Maynard was a three-time National Minority Golf Championship and two-time Bronc Intercollegiate Golf Tournament winner. A 2003 newcomer of the year selection, Maynard was named as the 2006 UTPA Athlete of the Year.

    One of the top-20 golfers in the state of Texas coming out of high school, Maynard lettered all four seasons at UTPA. She graduated magna cum laude a bachelor's in manufacturing engineering in May 2006.
