Ladyjacks Finish Ninth at Southern Mississippi

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team fired a 331 in the rain-shortened Lady Eagle Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss., Tuesday to finish tied for ninth overall. The classic was originally slated to be a two-day, three-round tournament but was reduced to 18 holes due to inclement weather.
The Ladyjacks were led by freshman Sydney Reed who fired a six-over par 78 to finish tied for 11th overall Tuesday. Junior Rose Henderson recorded the team's second-lowest score with an 83. She ended the day tied for 42nd. Freshman Julia Bazaldua was only a stroke back of Henderson with an 84 (T49th). Junior Sara Jones and senior Allison Flake finished tied for 57th overall with an 86.
The Ladyjacks will be back in action Friday, Mar. 22, when they host Sam Houston State in a mini dual. The dual is slated to begin at 1 p.m. from Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas.
