    Ladyjack Golf Sits Ninth at ORU

    TULSA, Okla. - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team fired a 316-314 - 630 Monday afternoon, and is currently ninth in a 13-team field at the ORU Shootout in Tulsa, Okla. Junior Aliece Anderson and senior Chelsea Simmons finished the day among the field's top 18 at the Meadowbrook Country Club Course. Anderson struggled in the opening round with an 81, but battled back to card a one-over 73 in the second round. She sits tied for 13th heading into to Tuesday's final round. Simmons is currently 18th with a 76-79 - 155.

    Freshman Julia Bazaldua is only a stroke back of Simmons with a 156. She enters the final round tied for 21st overall. Junior Rose Marie Henderson recorded the team's fourth lowest score with an 80-85 - 165 (57th). Junior Sara Jones was the team's fifth scorer finishing the day 67th overall with a 171.

    The Ladyjacks will close out the ORU Shootout Tuesday morning. The final round is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
