LAKE CHARLES, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team recorded a final-round 389 Tuesday afternoon to finish sixth overall at the Cowgirl Fall Invitational. The 'Jacks recorded their best round of the Carter Plantation Intercollegiate in the final round to finish 10th overall (300-306-297 - 903).

Freshman Wallis Spears finished 12th overall carding her three-round score of 78-75-79 - 232. Classmate Chelsea Simmons recorded a 247 to place 29th overall. Junior Noelle Willcoxon was only two strokes back of Simmons with her three-round 83-82-84 - 249. Freshman Allison Flake struggled in the final round shooting a 95. She finished 40th overall with her score of 261. Freshman Erin Daurity was 44th overall with her score of 96-88-102 - 286.

The 'Jacks were led by junior Kyle Robbins who fired a three-over 75 in the final round to finish tied for 21st overall (72-74-75 - 221). Sophomore Stetson McMillan was three strokes back with a 224, and placed tied for 29th overall. Junior Michael Smith finished tied for 38th with his three-round 74-79-73 - 226. Senior Matt Oates shot his lowest round of the tournament with a final round 76. He finished tied 62nd overall with a 238. Sophomore Jordan Wynn finished 72nd overall with a 83-79-83 - 245.

The Lumberjacks will return to action Monday, Feb. 15, when they travel to Kerrville, Texas to compete in the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational. The Ladyjacks will be back in action Sunday, Feb. 14, when they travel to Kinder, La., to compete in the Kosati Pines Collegiate Classic.
