    Ladyjack Soccer Blanks McNeese State Sophomore Sarah Johnson nets two goals in the victory

    NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team kicked off the 2002 Southland Conference season Tuesday night with a 4-0 win over McNeese State. The Ladyjacks improve to 3-5 on the season and 1-0 in SLC play.

    Sophomore Sarah Johnson (Fort Worth, Texas) netted the games first goal only 30 seconds prior to the end of the first half. SFA carried that momentum into the second half as Johnson added another goal 9:17 into the half. The Ladyjacks put the game on ice less than two minutes later when freshman Lauren Cummings (Kingwood, Texas) netted her first goal of the season.

    The Ladyjacks return to action Friday night to take on Northwestern State. The game against the Demons is slated to begin at 7 p.m., from Homer Bryce Stadium
