    NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack soccer team opened the 2004 season Friday in a rain-shortened Purple/White scrimmage. The Purple team defeated the White, 1-0, on a goal by junior Kendra Cannon in the 29th minute. Senior Christie Mestayer was credited with the assist. The game was called in the 33rd minute due to inclement weather. The Ladyjacks begin defense of the Southland Conference Tournament title Friday Aug. 27, when they host Arkansas State. The game will begin at 7 p.m., from the SFA Intramural Complex. -SFA-
