SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack softball team lost to Texas-San Antonio, 3-0, Sunday afternoon in the third and final game of a three-game series. SFA is now 17-23 (.425) overall and 7-11 (.389) in SLC play.

The Roadrunners put two runs on the scoreboard in the bottom half of the third inning and it would be all the offense UTSA would need as Ursula Mares held SFA to only five hits in seven innings of work.

Junior Ragen Rutherford led the Ladyjacks offensively, going 2-for-3 at the plate. Sophomore Carrie Woydziak, senior Jaime Brown and sophomore Crista Hargrove each went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Senior Crissy Autry took the loss for SFA, going six innings surrendering three runs on eight hits. She struck out four Roadrunners.

The Ladyjacks return to action Tuesday when they return home to face Baylor in a doubleheader. The first game against the Bears is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
