HOUSTON - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team evened up its record after suffering a 7-0 loss at Houston Sunday at Hoff Courts on the University of Houston campus. In doubles action, senior Laura Harrison and freshman Roxana Enica defeated Houston's No. 1 duo, 8-7 (7-3), but it wasn't enough as the Cougars' No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams won their sets to give Houston the doubles' point.

In singles' action, Houston swept the matches. In No. 3 singles, senior Lauren Nowicki fell, 6-3, in the first set, but came back to take the second set, 6-4. Nowicki fell 10-4 in the tiebreaker.

The Ladyjacks take two weeks off before heading to Natchitoches, La., Feb. 10 to face Arkansas State and Southern Mississippi.
