NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team opened the 2003 home schedule Saturday against North Texas. The Lady Eagles defeated SFA, 6-0. The Ladyjacks returned to the court Sunday against Tyler Junior College. But the injury-plagued Ladyjack squad fell to the TJC, 6-1. The Ladyjacks are now 0-3 on the season.

The Ladyjacks were swept against North Texas, dropping all six singles matches. The doubles matches were not played. Tyler Junior College took an early 1-0 lead over SFA by winning the doubles' point. The Apache Ladies extended their advantage to 4-1 before freshman Megan Langston put the Ladyjacks on the scoreboard with her 6-2, 6-2, victory over Kayla Bowden at No. 4 singles. But the Ladyjacks were unable to pick up a victory at Nos. 5 or 6 singles.

The Ladyjacks return to action Saturday March 1st, with a match against Centenary. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m., in Shreveport, La.
