    Ladyjack Tennis Falls in Home Opener

    NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team was defeated 6-1 by Abilene Christian in its home opener Friday evening at the SFA Tennis Complex. The loss sends SFA's season record to 1-3 on the season.

    Gabriela Gadeva was the only Ladyjack to record a win. She took the No. 4 singles point by a score of 6-2 and 7-5.

    With scores of 8-2, 8-3, and 8-1, Abilene Christian took the doubles point to start the match.

    In No. 1 singles, Roxana Enica started with a 7-6 loss, but came back to win the second set 6-1. But it wasn't enough as she fell 10-6 in the tiebreaker.

    Two weekends ago, the Ladyjacks fell 7-0 to Southern Miss in Natchitoches, La.

    SFA will return to the court tomorrow afternoon at 2 against Louisiana-Monroe.
