NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack tennis team fell to the Northwestern State Lady Demons on Sunday, March 25, in Nacogdoches 2-5. However, the Ladyjacks did have three key wins from several ladies including seniors Meredith Watson (Houston, Tex.), Sarah Osborn (Arlington, Tex.) and freshman Jessica Beauchene (Phoenix, AZ.).

In singles play Watson and Beauchene came up with wins for the Ladyjacks. Watson, who sits in the three position defated Northwestern State's Eliza Young 3-0, ret. Beauchene follows Watson in the four position and defeated Natalie Unger 2-6, 6-3, 6-1.

In doubles play SFA's Watson and Osborn defeated Young and McKee 3-0, ret. This was the only doubles win for SFA during this match.

The Ladyjacks will be back in action March 29, at 2:00 PM as they face the University of North Texas in Nacogdoches. Then they will head to Louisiana to face Nicholls State in Thibodaux, on March 31 and Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond on April 1.
