HAMMOND, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker against Southeastern Louisiana Sunday afternoon in Hammond. The Ladyjacks are now 6-10 (.375) on the season and 3-6 (.333) in Southland Conference play.

The Ladyjacks doubles team of Megan Langston and Kama Scott picked up a victory at No. 3 doubles, but SFA was unable to win at either Nos. 1 or 2 doubles, losing the point. The Ladyjacks were down 2-0 when freshmen Laura Harrison and Lauren Nowicki picked up victories at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, respectively, to tie the match. But the Ladyjacks lost two of the next three singles matches and Southeastern Louisiana held on for the victory.

Scott also won her singles match, defeating the Lady Lions' Vanessa Wong, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1, at No. 6 singles.

The Ladyjacks return to action Thursday when they travel to Huntsville, Texas to take on Sam Houston State. The match against the Bearkats is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m.
