HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team fell, 7-0, against the Sam Houston State Bearkats Sunday afternoon in Huntsville. With the loss, SFA is now 5-12 overall and has a 2-8 SLC record. SHSU is 12-4 on the year with a 9-2 conference mark.

The Bearkats swept the doubles point with 8-0, 8-5 and 8-1 wins. In singles action, Gabriela Gadeva fell in the No. 4 match against Brooke Mills 7-5 in the first set and dropped the second set 6-2. In No. 6 play, the Bearkats' Ashley Longoria defeated Mary Harrison 6-7, 6-2, 1-0.

The Ladyjacks will wrap up their 2007 season Tuesday at 1 p.m. against Lamar at the Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas. The match was originally scheduled for March 30 in Beaumont but was postponed due to rain.
