NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team will start the 2004 spring season Friday against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., at the SFA Tennis Courts. The Ladyjacks return six players from a 2003 team that finished 3-12 overall and 1-9 in Southland Conference play.

The Veterans The returning letterwinners for SFA are juniors Melissa Bass (Arlington, Texas), Robin Houston (Shreveport, La.), Ashley Johnson (Nacogdoches, Texas) and Emily Voss (San Angelo, Texas) and sophomores Jennifer Cline (Elkhart, Texas) and Megan Langston (Abilene, Texas).

Fresh Faces The 2004 roster will also consist of four freshmen. The Ladyjack newcomers are Whitney DeYoung (Hamshire, Texas), Laura Harrison (Shreveport, La.), Lauren Nowicki (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Kama Scott (Wichita Falls, Texas).

The Ladyjacks will be back in action Thursday Feb. 5th, when they host Louisiana Tech. The match against the Lady Techsters is slated to begin at 2 p.m., from the SFA Tennis Courts.
