SFA to Host Lady Indians, Lady Demons in Tennis

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team (3-5/0-1 SLC) returns home for two matches within the Southland Conference. SFA will be looking for its first league victory of the season Saturday when it squares off against Louisiana-Monroe Saturday. The match is slated to begin at 1 p.m., at the SFA Tennis Courts. The Ladyjacks will return to the court less than 24 hours later to host Northwestern State. The match against the Lady Demons is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Louisiana-Monroe enters this week's matches with a 10-2 (.833) overall record and a 2-0 league mark, while Northwestern State is 3-5 (.375) overall and 2-0 in the Southland Conference.

The Ladyjacks are coming off a week where they picked up two victories, falling to only Texas-Arlington. SFA was led by freshman Megan Langston who picked up three singles wins. Langston leads the Ladyjacks with a 5-3 (.625) singles record during the spring. She also tops the team with 10 wins in 2002-03.

The Ladyjacks will back on the road Saturday Mar. 29th, when they travel to Beaumont, Texas, to take on Lamar. The match against the Cardinals is slated to begin at 2 p.m. SFA will follow that up with a 10 a.m. match at McNeese State the following day.
