SFA Tennis Set to Host Bobcats and Roadrunners
April 4, 2002 NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team returns home for two league matches this Saturday and Sunday. After picking up a split in Beaumont, beating Lamar, 6-1, but falling to McNeese State, 5-2, the Ladyjacks are now 6-5 (.545) overall and 3-3 (.500) in the Southland Conference. SFA will host Southwest Texas Saturday at the SFA Tennis Courts. The match is slated to begin at 10 a.m., with the doubles competition. The Ladyjacks will follow that up with a match on Sunday against Texas-San Antonio. The doubles competition is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. Junior Sandra Wolfe (Austin, Texas) looks to improve upon her three-match win streak when Southwest Texas comes to town Saturday. Wolfe leads the Ladyjacks with 12 singles victories this season and is 8-3 (.727) during the spring season. Four of Wolfe's eight victories this spring have come at No. 3 singles while the other four have come at No. 4 singles. The Ladyjacks return to action Friday April 12, when they travel to Denton, Texas, to take on North Texas. The match is slated for a 3 p.m. start. The Ladyjacks will follow that up with a 10 a.m., match the next day at Texas-Arlington. -SFA-
