NACOGDOCHES - Abilene standout Megan Langston has signed a National Letter of Intent to play tennis for Stephen F. Austin announced head coach Bret Arrant Thursday.

Langston played both No. 1 singles and doubles at Abilene High School, where she recorded a 171-46 (.788) overall singles record. Langston earned all-district honors at both positions. She is currently ranked 19th in the state by the United States Tennis Association. Langston is also the true definition of a student-athlete, graduating in the top 18 percent of her class.

"Megan will make an immediate impact on our team next fall," said Arrant. "She is a determined singles player and has an excellent record in doubles. She is an all-around player and exactly the type of player I was looking for."

The Ladyjacks finished the 2002 season with a 7-10 (.412) overall record.
