NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The SFA tennis team will kick off its 2009 fall season on Friday, hosting the two-day SFA Fall Invitational at the Schlief Tennis Complex.

The tournament will consist of seven singles flights and three doubles flights with play set to commence at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

Louisiana Tech, ULM, McNeese State, Tyler Junior College, Sam Houston, Lamar, UTEP and Texas State will join SFA to make up the nine-team field in the Ladyjacks opening tournament of fall play. SFA will travel to Monroe, La., next week for the ULM Tournament before the ITA Regional begins Oct. 16 in Waco.

The Ladyjacks return six players from last season's team that qualified for the Southland Conference Tournament headlined by the 2009 SLC Freshman of the Year Alina Shazkho and senior Roxana Enica. The pair combined to go 15-7 in doubles play last season and also won 20 singles matches between them.
