Oct. 17, 2007

Box Score

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Ladyjack volleyball team had its 11-match win streak halted at the hands of the Tulane Green Wave on Wednesday, getting swept for the first time in 19 matches, 3-0 (30-16, 30-26, 30-25).

SFA (17-6, 7-0) could never get on track against the Green Wave (19-5, 7-2) as Tulane picked up its eighth home win in a row at Fogelman Arena. The Ladyjacks could only muster a .171 hitting percentage in the second frame, sandwiched in between .026 and .080 marks in the first and third. Overall, the .089 hitting percentage for the match is the lowest the Ladyjacks have hit since a 3-0 loss to Oregon on Sept. 1.

Traci Rohde led the offense with seven kills, while JJ Jones just missed a double-double with 24 assists and nine digs. Senior Jami Hill added 15 digs to her season tally, while Ashley Bailey picked up the start on the night and added four blocks of her own.

The Green Wave was led by Sara Radosevic with 21 kills and 17 digs, while Rachel Lindelow and Luna Rebrovic posted 25 and 24 digs apiece, respectively.

The Ladyjacks will continue its road swing through Southern Louisiana on Friday when they take on Nicholls State in Thibodaux. If the Ladyjacks are able to pull out the win it will mark the 59th consecutive win for SFA in Southland Conference play, establishing a new conference record in that category.

SFA will conclude the road trip on Saturday in Hammond, La., against Southeastern Louisiana before returning to Nacogdoches to face Sam Houston on Tuesday.
