NACOGDOCHES, Texas -- The Stephen F. Austin State University Ladyjack volleyball team hosted its annual "Meet the Ladyjacks" at William R. Johnson Coliseum. Despite the storm that hit Nacogdoches, many turned out for the event.

After an intrasquad scrimmage, Head Coach Debbie Humphreys addressed the audience about the upcoming season. "We have been working really hard to improve a little more each day. This has been our goal since the team reported for practices," said Humphreys.

During the scrimmage, junior middle blocker, Kristy Rhodes, successfully completed several kills. She was followed by sophomore, outside hitter Angie Wood. The Ladyjacks are led this season by the lone senior, Jenny Orndorff, an outside hitter from Arlington, Texas and junior setter, Marissa Dorcheus, from Houston, Texas.

The first home match will be Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 PM in William R. Johnson Coliseum as the Ladyjacks face Southland Conference opponent Sam Houston State University.
